Chiropractor in Kitchener : Dr. Lesley Jacklin

Dr. Lesley JacklinAt a young age, I always enjoyed the various science courses I took in school, finding it fascinating to learn how the body works. There are billions of processes occurring inside of us at any given moment, which keep us alive and healthy, and we don’t even need to think about it. My interest in science, along with my empathic nature and passion for helping others, made it clear to me that I would pursue a career in health care. It wasn’t until I learned about the amazing ability of chiropractic to help people live their lives to their fullest potential naturally, that I knew a career in chiropractic was the right choice for me.

Witnessing the Benefits of Chiropractic

I have been fortunate enough to both experience the benefits of chiropractic care for myself (starting at age 13, when my parents brought me for my first spinal check-up), and to witness my parents’ journey with chiropractic over the past 15 years. The thing that inspires me the most is not only the disappearance of their aches and pains, but the fact that they have more energy, stronger immune systems, and better sleep now than they did 20 years ago!

Providing Gentle, Effective Adjustments

A graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, I found it interesting to discover how many different chiropractic technique systems exist. I mainly use an instrument called an ArthroStim®, which is an extremely effective, yet gentle adjusting tool that allows me to be highly specific with my adjustments. For some patients, I will use a combination of instrument adjusting and manual adjusting. I’m also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and have taken additional pediatric courses. I especially love working with families and expectant mothers, and am certified in the Webster Technique.

Helping to Improve the Lives of Others

At Bruce Street Family Chiropractic, I enjoy working with your body’s incredible potential to heal, so I can help improve the quality of your life. By removing spinal subluxations, your brain and your body can fully communicate with each other and function at their best. So many people are living their lives in pain or discomfort, or just generally feeling run-down—and it doesn’t have to be this way! Just as we brush our teeth each day to maintain good oral health, caring for the spine is an ongoing process that can yield excellent health benefits.
